Conditions Of Play

General Conditions

  • 6 Teams of 10 players.
  • 5 rounds played over the weekend as per schedule above.
  • All teams play each other once.
  • All disciplines are played at the same time.
  • Singles – 21 Shots Up.
  • Pairs – 3 Bowls per player 18 ends.
  • Triples – 2 Bowls per player 18 ends.
  • Fours – 2 Bowls per player 15 ends.
  • All rounds start at the scheduled time where a bell is sounded.
  • All rounds are 2 hours and 15 minutes maximum.
  • BBQ Lunch provided both days.
  • Players grading must total a minimum of 40 points each round.
  • Players can be substituted as required, above 40 point rule will apply.
  • Players can change positions and disciplines each round as decided by the team.

Points Scoring System

  • 10 points awarded for each rink win.
  • 1 point awarded for each end won.
  • 1 bonus point for each 4 or more scored on a single end. (1 for end won + 1 bonus = 2 points awarded).
  • Points will accumulate throughout the weekend over the 5 rounds.
  • Highest scoring team after 5 rounds will be announced the winner.

  • $1500 cash to winning club
  • Free entry to following year ($300 value)

Conditions Of Play

General Conditions

  • 3 BOWL PAIRS – 1 end per match
  • 16 matches (16 ends) before lunch
  • 16 matches (16 ends) after lunch
  • 1 end shootout finals
  • Dress – Bowls Shirt Required
  • Jack out of bounds is respotted on the T
  • Tied end will be 1 bowl per player shootout
  • Toss a coin for jack/mat on end 1, the team that played the higher rink on the previous end has the jack/mat on ends 2 onwards.
  • Toss a coin for the jack/mat in finals

The goal is to get to the highest number rink on your green.

If you win a match, you move up one rink, if you lose your match, you move down one rink.

Winning team on the highest rink of the green will hold their position, losing team on the lowest rink of the green will hold their position.

Session 1 rink draw is done via random draw, skips will come up to the table and collect a card, that car will be your starting rink number. Once you are at your rink, please leave the rink card at the end of the rink.

A bell will sound at the start of the 16th end. After the final end of session 1 (End 16), players will be move rink as normal after completing end 16. The skips will then collect the rink card from their finishing rink and present it to the bowls coordinator after the session.

Session 2: The top 50% of teams from green 1 and the top 50% of teams from green 2 will be placed into Group A and choose new rink cards and play on green 1. The remaining teams be placed into Group B and will choose new rink cards and play on green 2.

A bell will sound at the start of the 16th end. After the final end of session 2 (End 16), players will be move rink as normal after completing end 16. The skips of the top 4 teams will then collect the rink card from their finishing rink and present it to the bowls coordinator after the session.

After Session 2, the top 4 teams from each group/green to play the Finals Series on Green 1.

Group A is allocated $700 prize money: 1st = $400. 2nd = $300
Group B is allocated $300 prize money: 1st = $200. 2nd = $100

  • Lead plays 3 bowls.
  • Skip plays 2 bowls.
  • Cards called at 9am both days.
  • Max 24 teams.
  • Cards drawn off the table on day 1 to randomly place teams in sections of 4.
  • Play against all teams in your section on day 1.
  • Scores are 2 point per win, 1 point per draw.
  • Points for and against used to separate tied teams.
  • Top 8 teams move to Day 2 “Finals Day”.
  • Day 2 “Finals Day” will be a straight knockout randomly drawn.
  • No Dead Ends – Jack to be re-spotted on the T.
  • All games are 9 ends with 1 trial end per match, including all finals.
  • Substitute Buddies are allowed to play if your buddy cannot make day 2.
  • All non-bowlers in top 8 teams will be checked against BowlsLink registration to confirm eligibility into finals.
  • 24 Teams maximum due to green capacity.
